All the artists have volunteered their support for the cause – to promote leadership training in the country – is truly remarkable.
The audience will be treated to a range of inspirational music encompassing traditional, modern and original songs.

Strike a Chord promises an evening of heart warming inspirational music by some of the country's finest musicians.
Organised by the Colombo Theological Seminary (CTS), the students' fundraising event will be held at St. Joseph's College Auditorium, Colombo 10 on March 17 at 7.00 p.m.

The line-up of artists include Mariazelle, Natasha, Noeline, Shanelle, Shyami, Sunil and Piyal, Druvi De Silva, Aanjanee Manesha and Krisanthi, Luke Henricus, Ivor Poobalan, Charles Mark, Ezra, Revelations and Cosmic Rays. Accompaniment for the stars will be provided by EMEFCEE featuring Chandralal, Lenny, Viraj, Dharshana, Lakshan, Suresh and Georgy.

Interestingly, Sunil and Piyal of the Gypsies will be performing music in this genre for the first time.

Funds raised from the project would go towards an academic/administrative building that would also house a custom-built learning and resource library.

The seminary that began in 1994 is a vibrant centre for leadership training to equip men and women for leadership roles in their communities – be it the corporate sector, the church or the world at large – that they are geared to add value to society in their everyday living.

Speaking at the press briefing, Principal of CTS, Ivor Poobalan acknowledges, "Our alumni have gone on to make significant contributions in their respective spheres." Courses at the institutions are offered in English, Sinhala and Tamil at certificate, diploma and bachelor's levels on a full or part time basis.

Beginning April, the Centre that is credited with various publications in national languages would commence their Masters programme.
