Sino-Lankan JV on high quality refrigeration equipment

China’s Yantai Moon Company Ltd and Lanka Industrial Services Agencies (Pvt) Ltd recently entered into a joint venture project to make available high quality and advanced refrigeration equipment to the Sri Lankan market.

In a press statement issued on the occasion, Clement Fernando, Chairman, Managing Director of Lanka Industrial Services Agencies (Pvt) Ltd. said, “Refrigeration plays a critical role in several major areas of economic activity and has widespread socio-economic implications starting at grass roots level. High quality and advanced

refrigeration equipment is thus a pre-requisite for the expansion of a country’s economic growth. Being the island nation we are, the fisheries industry should have the backing of an advanced system of refrigeration when harvesting the vast wealth of our seas, as well as that of inland water bodies”.
