Ford Super Model of the World is the largest and most prestigious talent search in the world held in over 50 countries over the last 30 years by the Ford Model Agency NY. The show exposes the transformation of everyday young women into potentially competitive super models. The international winner will be awarded $ 250,000 and an exclusive modelling contract at the Ford Modeling Agency in New York.
Elaborating on the event, Managing Director of the Model Network Sri Lanka Paul James said, “The opportunity and potential for these girls are enormous and the launch of a Sri Lankan face in the international context is long overdue. This industry has been underdeveloped not through the lack of talent but through the lack of exposure to the global industry.”
Bodie Keerthisena, the producer of the show who said that the Sri Lankan landscape will create a luscious background to the show adding to the excitement. “I’m not going to reveal the exact locations as it is supposed to be a surprise on television but we are going to certain locations where models have not been introduced before and we are also planning to have certain moments captured live,” he said.
rospective contestants must be between the age of 16 and 21 years, must be Sri Lankan passport holders, must possess clear skin, good bone structure and slim body, height 5 6’ and above.
