Lankans do well at RCS essay competition
Sri Lankans have bagged an unprecedented total of 104 awards, citations and commendations out of around 700 applications from 54 countries in the Royal Commonwealth Society Annual Essay Competition 2007, the Sri Lankan Branch of the RCS said this week.
The Royal Commonwealth Society (RCS) encompassing 54 countries in the Commonwealth conducts its annual essay competition amongst 54 member countries.
Many of the winning entries in the four age groups were from outstation schools such as Kuliyapitiya Central, Maliyadeva Balika Vidyalaya, St. Sebastian’s, Vauniya Tamil Maha Vidyala, to name a few.
