Ibsens in Colombo

"Jana Mithura", the Sinhala production of Henrick Ibsen's play 'The League of Youth', produced by award winning playwright Sunil Chandrasiri will be staged at 3.30 pm and 6.30 pm on September 1 at Elphinstone Theatre, Maradana.

Stellar cast include Janaka Kumbukage, Dayadeva Edirisinghe, Jagath Benaragama, Damayantha Perera, Mandasmitha Muduthepuli, Mahendra Weeraratne, Chamara Priyadharshana, Buddhi Lakshan, Sampath Thennekoon, Dhanushka Iroshani, Ajith Lokuge, Rohitha Karunaratne, Vajira Dilani, Hemanthi Nilmini, Anurudhdha Gambhirarachchi, Ishani Sajeewani and Samdun Sampath.

Behind the screen, stage management by Suranga Baminiyawatta, stage setting by Anura Dahanayake, make up by Priyantha Sirikumara, lighting Wasantha Kumara and music direction by Prabath Ekanayake. The production of 'Jana Mithura' is sponsored by Royal Norwegian Embassy in Sri Lanka.
