‘Kakul Hathare Illandariya’ in town

Veteran playwright R. R. Samarakoon's latest production "Kakul Hathare Illandariya" (A four legged youth) will go on the boards at 7.00 p.m. on October 4 at the Elphinstone Theatre Maradana. Famed for his earlier production "Kelani Palama", "Ahasing Wetunu Minissu", "Duwili", "Idama" "Charitha Dekak" and "Kaputu bo", "Kakul Hathare Illandariya" is another satirical comment on our society.

Wijaya Nandasiri, Saman Hemarathne, Rathnashila Perera and Anusha Disanayake play the key roles in the drama. Senior lecturer Ariyarathna Kaluarachchi handles the choreography while stage setting is by lecturer Lionel Bentharage and the music has been composed by Shantha Peiries. Ravindra Ariyarathna and Asoka Zoysa are in charge of the stage management. Sound operator is Chandana Nishantha Peiries.‘Kakul Hathare Illandariya’ is presented by Jude Srimal.
