The Sri Lanka High Commission in Pretoria, South Africa, in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Tourist Board, carried out an image building promotion of Sri Lanka Tourism during the visit of the National Cricket Team for the World Twenty20 Cricket Tournament.
The attractive T-shirts, caps and sign-boards exclusively prepared by the Tourist Board were utilised optimising the powerful combination of sports and tourism.
The T-shirts featured several cricketers and Sri Lanka’s well-known tourist attractions. They also carried the motto “Sri Lanka – a land like no other”. The impressive sign-boards carried a very strong image of Sri Lanka.
Captain Mahela Jayawardena handed over two corneas donated by the Sri Lanka Eye Bank to the Pretoria Eye Bank at the Welcome Reception hosted by High Commissioner Anura Rajakaruna. |
