NFC invites short filmmakers

Final date to submit applications for the Short Film Competition organized by the National Film Corporation (NFC) has been extended till October 31.

The competition organized with the hope of introducing young talents to the cinema entertains productions on the two sections; short features and short documentary.

According to the rules the films on any theme should not be of more than 10 minute duration and could be made in colour or black and white. The young filmmakers must certify their works with an affidavit while the works of school students must be certified by the principal or heads of the institution.

The contestants must bear the cost of their productions and three places will be selected from each section and seven productions chosen will be given merit awards. Every contestant will be given a certificate of recognition.
