Black Mor's Island': French animation

The French animation 'Black Mor's Island' (L'île de Balck Mor) directed by Jean-françois Laguionie will be screened at Alliance Francaise at 3.00 pm Tuesday October 30 and 6.30 pm on Wednesday October 31.

In 1803, on the coast of Cornouailles, Kid, a youngster of fifteen years, escapes from the orphanage where he lives like a convict. He ignores his true name and his sole belonging is a map of an island from the book 'The Island of Black Mor's, the hideout of a famous pirate to whom he would like to resemble.The film won Adult's Jury Award - Certificate of Merit at Chicago International Children's Film Festival.
