Sri Lanka Insurance streamlines Life, General insurance operations

Sri Lanka Insurance (SLI) is in the process of streamlining it's business operation and has appointed two CEOs to focus on its Life and General Insurance business segments, the company said this week.

Suren Galagoda takes office as CEO-General and Suresh Paranavithana as CEO-Life. This strategic move will allow greater concentration and focus on the needs of these two segments.

Galagoda, a member of the Institute of the Motor Industry UK and a Fellow member of the Institute of automobile Engineers Sri Lanka, commenced his career in 1981 at Forbes & Walker Ltd and moved on to Stassen Export Ltd. in 1990 and Shell Gas Lanka Ltd, and joined SLI in 2004. Paranavithana takes over as CEO -Life having joined the SLI team in 2004.

He is a Life Insurance specialist and commenced his career at Mercantile Credit Insurance in 1986.
