A President’s undying words

“God and the soldier, all men adore
In time of danger and not before;
When the danger is passed and all things righted,
God is forgotten, and the soldier slighted.”

US President John F. Kennedy quoted the above verse to soldiers of the US Army in 1962. “This country does not forget God or the soldier, upon both we now depend,” the late president added.

I do hope and pray that our President and his men will also believe and act upon this great statement.
