He has over 500 friends on Facebook (averaging on about 10 new friends a day). He's cute. He's funny. And he loves cheese. But, just who exactly is CheesyWheezy (CW)? What's he doing on Facebook? Why is he so popular? And what makes him so special? Well…we're soon to find out…as The Sunday Times discovers what a day in the life of CW is like!
Q: Who are you 'CheezyWheezy'?
CW: I'm the main character in a cool new ad that's on TV right now. I've been selected because I'm crazy about cheese! Aren't you? Do you know that I'm the first ever animated character in Sri Lanka to have over 500 friends on Facebook! I'm sooooo happy! Guess it must be my cute looks! Hee, hee.
Q: So what is it that you do on TV?
CW: Well…my mum told me that a long time ago, there was this really yummy cheese around. So I wait and wait for it to come back. And you know what? It does! And I jump up and down because I am sooooo happy!
Q: How did u come to be on FB?
CW: I'm a loveable guy who likes people. And I'm always on my computer. So I thought the best way to make new friends and keep chatting to them was, to get on Facebook. It's so much fun!
Q: What do you talk about?
CW: About what I'm up to every day. My friends tell me how cute I look on TV and that I have big ears. Mum says that's what makes me so good looking. My friends tell me how much they love cheese too. I love it when they say stuff like that!
Q: What's your favourite food?
CW: Cheese, cheese and more cheese. Guess that's why mum named me CheesyWheezy. Hee, hee.
Q: What's your favourite hobby?
CW: I love making friends. I read lots of story books and tell "cheesy" jokes. What do you call cheese that's not yours? Nacho cheese. (Not-your-cheese) Get it??? Hee, hee.
Q: What are your future plans/ambitions?
CW: I hope I become very popular on TV. I want to be a super star! And then, maybe they'll ask me to come on TV more and more, and then I'll be really famous! Wouldn't that be cool? And I want to make lots and lots more friends, so please add me! (And remember, CheesyWheezy without a space okay?)
Q: Where are you from?
CW: I'm totally, totally Sri Lankan, and am really happy about it too! I'm really happy that I've got friends from all over the world! Mum says that other countries are really far away and that I'll have to go in a plane to visit them! So I hope they all come here someday, so we can meet up!
Q: Anything else you'd like to say?
CW: Thank you Sunday Times for chatting to me, and to all my super duper friends out there, I'd like to say, I hope that every time you see me on TV, it makes you smile! |
