Being the president of a nation is the most prominent position a person can hold, because with great power comes great responsibility.
If I was nominated as the president, the first and foremost thing I would do will be putting an end to the civil war taking place in Sri Lanka currently. I would agree to any clauses of the opposite party if it does not involve death of innocent citizens and
economic instability, because peoples' lives come first and because children must not be left to starve due to poverty.
The next thing I would do will be
improving the public hospitals and education system. I would ensure that Sri Lankan
hospitals have all kinds of modern
equipment and medicine. And I shall take steps to make public schools as standardized as private ones, because I think 'Education is the key to success,' so every child should be given good education.
We all live in a very busy world and we undergo a lot of stress. So, I shall recommend weekends as a holiday for all government workers. I shall also have amusement parks in every district so that people can spend time with family.
Being president is a tough job. So we should all help Hon. Mahinda Rajapaksa in his task to develop Sri Lanka in his noble
profession.

Last weekend all our family members went to see the film 'Aba.' The story is very interesting. It is the story of Prince Pandukabhaya.
According to the story, King Panduwasdeva had ten sons and one daughter. The astrologers had predicted that if the king's daughter gave birth to a son, he would kill all his ten uncles. Therefore they built a house on a pillar and put her in it with a maid. The princess was named Chitra. People called her 'Unmada Chitra' because she was so beautiful.
However, she gave birth to a son and named the child Pandukabhaya and sent him to Doramadalawa. The history says the father of the child was Deegagamini. The child was brought up there safely. When some uncles of Pandukabhaya came to know the child was living, they planned to kill him. But their attempts failed. At last Pandukabhaya killed eight of his uncles and became king of Anuradhapura.

If I were an ant I would be an insect. Then I would live in an anthill. I would be very small. Some birds would come and eat me.
When I run, people would walk on me and then I would die
quickly. I would steal sugar from houses.
There are many kinds of ants, not only me. Some are black, red, tiny black ants etc.
I would work very hard with my friends. We would work together. We would never be very lazy. We would be very active. We would not be very tired. I would love to be an ant.
