The Sunday Times spoke to Mr. Dave Siriwardena, Chairman, Mrs. Mumtaz Siriwardena, Managing Director of Dave Group and Mr. Anurudda Wijesinghe Head of Sales and Marketing of Dave Tractors to find out what the company has to offer.

Mrs. Siriwardena as Managing Director of Dave Tractors (Pvt.) Presently Dave Tractors is one of the largest tractor importers in Sri Lanka and is the exclusive distributor of the world-renowned brand John Deere. Dave Tractors is also the only company in Sri Lanka to offer the entire range of agricultural products. The core products of the company include the John Deere Tractors, which range from 8 h.p. to 540 h.p, sugar cane industry equipment, golf and turf equipment, irrigation systems, hay balers and planters, rice reapers, track combine harvesters, mini combine harvesters, bowsers, trailers, disc ploughs etc., which all come with a warranty period. "We have an island wide distributor network, which comprises over 84 dealers. We also offer easy payments and other facilities with the assistance of the banks and financial institutions. Our tractors also come with certain package deals, which come with a special price where by we offer certain other implements to our customers. A majority of our customers come from the areas of Anuradhapura, Ampara, and Polonaruwa etc. Our sales are extremely high during the two seasons Yala and Maha", says Mr. Wijesinghe.
The company has also invested immensely with regards to providing a superior after sales service and offering spare parts. In the future the company plans on creating a number of service centers throughout the country for the benefit of its customers. Dave Tractors also offer a 24-hour on call mobile service facility in the Northern and Southern territories.
