Developing Leaders Day (DLD) aims to connect best undergraduates with the organisations that need them. This event is organised to enhance the leadership capabilities of undergraduates, to provide an unmatched opportunity for career planning and skills training and to create an opportunity for interaction and promotion between companies and graduates. DLD represents an opportunity for organizations to gain access to talented, enthusiastic and self driven students from all major campuses across Sri Lanka and to position themselves as an organization in the forefront of developments in the areas of Youth Leadership. APIIT is the main sponsor for DLD 2009 while Tigo, Lanka Bell and ACCA are the platinum sponsors. Main electronic media partner is ETV and the main newspaper partner for the event is Wijeya Newspapers.

The stakeholders who wish to co-operate with AIESEC in this endeavour would be able to interact with high potential Sri Lankan youth, build a positive image as an organisation supporting the youth of Sri Lanka, gain opportunities to recruit talented young people and to enhance the network of youth organisations & like-minded companies. Any parties interested in this venture may liaise with Pamodi Kannangara on pamodi@aiesec.org.lk for more details.
