‘Suhada Sohoyuro’ on Swarnavahini

Popular yesteryear movie ‘Suhada Sohoyuro’ co-directed by L. S. Ramachandran and K. A. W. Perera will be shown on Sunday, April 26 (today) at 10 pm on Swarnavahini channel.

Produced by EAP Edirisinghe for EAP films the film starred Clarice de Silva, Rita Ratnayake, Vijitha Mallika, Asoka Ponnamperuma, Henry Jayasena and Stanley Perera.

Made in 1963, the film also marks the introduction of Freddy Silva to the Sri Lankan cinema. Freddy appeared at a dance on the beach singing “Diya rella verale hapi hapi” and his maiden film scene and went on to be cast in comedy roles.
