Moscow Orchestra in Sri Lanka

World famous Moscow Orchestra from Moscow will arrive in Sri Lanka next week to honour the request of the Sri Lankan classical music lovers.

A 10 member Orchestra is headed by the honoured artiste of the Russian Federation, Professor of Moscow State Conservatoire, Pianist and Lecturer, music public figure Veniamin Korobov who is ready to conduct piano master classes as a gift for Sri Lankan lovers of music.

Moscow Orchestra will perform at the Bishop’s College Auditorium in Colombo on June 13 at 6.30 pm and at the Earl’s Regency Hotel in Kandy on Saturday, June 14 from 6.30pm onwards.

The tour is organized by the Embassy of Russian Federation and The Russian Centre in Colombo.
According to Chandi Aluvihare of the Russian Centre, the organizers wish to hold this event in Colombo to sow the Russian solidarity to the music lovers of Sri Lanka and to bring the true Russian classical music to a friendly country, which is represented by the renowned performers of International level.

The box plan is now open at the Russian Cultural Centre from 7.00am to 7.00pm and at Earl’s Regency Hotel on June 14 from 6.30pm onwards.
