Imagine a glass of water on a table in front of you. Imagine putting a straw in and gently blowing. What will you see? You'll see air bubbles coming up. If you ask a friend to blow and watch carefully, you will notice the bubble expanding as they move up.
Think of being at an exam. You are now seated in the exam centre. You have l5 minutes to answer the question paper. Here is a great way of doing it. Get an extra piece of paper. Write the main question you want to answer in the centre, imagine you have to write an essay on the sea. Write "SEA" in the centre. Draw a circle around it. Now write every idea that comes to your mind connected with the sea around the word in the centre. Draw a circle round each word you write. Do not judge whether the word you write is right or wrong - relevant or irrelevant - applicable or not. Simply write whatever comes to mind. Without questioning continue writing the words that come to your mind and keep circling them.
When you write the main idea in the centre and circle it; ideas keep coming, for example write:
sea, water, fish, big, small, salmon, canned, exports, business…
As you continue writing and circling you'll reach a certain point when you will feel that the job has been completed -and you are satisfied. You will then feel light and comfortable. When this happens, stop writing. Number the encircled words beginning from the centre. Number them in any order that will present your answer best. Delete irrelevant words. Turn the words into sentences. Build upon these words. Build paragraphs making use of the key words and write your answer on the exam paper.
Making use of it
Bubbling allows the unlimited ideas within you to come out. You can use bubbling to answer questions, write essays and stories, and generate ideas in any way you decide best. As you know, all skills need some practice and the best moment to practice is now. So take a piece of paper, write a word or a few words that represent something on which you want to answer a question or generate ideas on.
Select any topic ----calm your mind ------ remove all disturbance------- close your eyes ------ look up slightly ------- in your mind, go to a place you like very much. ------ take a few breaths----- sit straight------ look down----- start writing---- write----- circle --------write----- circle------ write----- circle ----- keep writing until you feel - 'I'm done'.
Stop. Delete irrelevant words. Number the words. Build sentences using the key words and write an essay -an answer - a beautiful story or perhaps an article. When you have done this, get up, go for a walk and be happy.
You are limited only by your imagination on how to benefit
The ways you can benefit from bubbling is only limited by your imagination. So I will avoid providing ways you can do it. Why? The moment I do it - your mind will see only the areas that I see. I'm keen to know about all the possible areas that you can think of. Simply drop a mail to info@priyangadezoysa.com on the ideas you have. May I leave you for now with one tip - Do bubbling on uses of bubbling.
