Carbon finance, an avenue for leveraging investments in renewable energy and energy efficiency opportunities, may prove valuable for the energy and power sectors, banks, financial institutes, non-governmental organizations and the general public. The US Embassy in Colombo is organizing a presentation on Carbon Finance on July 1 at the American Centre auditorium by the President of C-Quest Capital USA Matthew Mendis.
The Embassy says the presentation will include financial structures that could support the initial cost barriers associated with renewable energy, necessary conditions for carbon finance, options for carbon finance and examples of carbon finance leverage. |
