The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL) recently participated in the Future Minds Educational Exhibition which was held on 21st, 22nd and 23rd of June at the BMICH, conducted by the Nalanda College, Colombo. The Institute had placed a stall at this exhibition in order to provide some valuable information to the participants on the study courses offered by the Institute.
Many participants at this exhibition were pleased to gain first hand information on ICASL qualification and were well supported and guided by the ICASL staff members who provided them the information on the benefits of studying at ICASL. This exhibition, through which the ICASL was able to create an awareness among the public on the value and dependability of the ICASL qualification was a great success.
ICASL is the premier national accounting body of Sri Lanka established by an Act of Parliament, No. 23 of 1959 and is also the sole authority for setting Accounting and Auditing Standards in Sri Lanka. The Institution was inaugurated on 15th December 1959 and has been advancing steadily since then. ICASL persistently has progressed onto becoming a professional accounting body with a clear vision to promote the accounting standards of the country.
Education and training are important aspects for the Institution and ICASL takes its tutoring obligations successfully in order to mould the right individuals to bring out their maximum potential. With over 3500 members and 30,000 registered students, ICASL has over the years played an integral part in the country's financial sector as well as among the general public. |
