The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL) has initiated a bold move to exploit the true potential of our country's corporate sector by convening a CEO Forum on 'Leveraging Intangible Assets to Enhance Shareholder Value' in collaboration with Brand Finance PLC, UK.

The ICASL launches this at a time when businesses are looking for new ways of value creation in an increasingly competitive and financially challenging environment. Therefore it is quite prudent for CEOs of leading companies to look outside the traditional parameters and use a new set of tools around 'Intangible Assets' which could lead to new innovative means of operating, which would result in creating greater shareholder value.

This CEO Forum would be conducted by Mr. David Haigh, the Chief Executive Officer of Brand Finance PLC UK. He would discuss new trends of value creation which have been used by international organizations, updating participants on the latest international standards pertaining to intangible asset valuation, including the ability to securitize them to raise capital. This Forum would be held on July 27 2009 commencing from 7.30am at the Hilton Colombo Ballroom.
