Two pianos in harmony

Their passion for music, their love for collaborating on two pianos and most of all the joy of making music together, was what inspired these two artists to present this concert.
Soundarie David and Ramya De Livera Perera

And so Colombo audiences have a rare treat in store when Soundarie David and Ramya De Livera Perera take the stage for ‘Musical Colours on Two Pianos’ – a unique concert featuring works for two pianos, showcasing the entire range of what a grand piano can offer.

Co-leader of the Symphony Orchestra of Sri Lanka, Ramya enjoys accompanying and playing both violin and piano in chamber ensembles.

Her dedication to nurturing the talent of young students to reach high standards, be it for examinations or for the real love and feel for music is well known and performing as four hands (on two pianos) with Soundarie is something she is looking forward to.

A versatile pianist, Soundarie, well known as Music Director of the award winning female ensemble “Soul Sounds” also plays the violin with the Symphony Orchestra of Sri Lanka.

She enjoys performing different genres of music, be it classical or pop and for her this concert is special as she shares the stage with her own teacher, Ramya.

Tickets for the event can be obtained at the Lionel Wendt, Bay Leaf and Titus Stores, Liberty Plaza.
