Kaushal Silva and skipper Thilina Kandamby continued to frustrate the Pakistan ‘A’ bowlers in another rain hit third days play of the first unofficial test played at the Galle International Stadium.
The third days as in the first two days got off to a delayed start with the match being possible only from 3.00 p.m. Only 32 overs of play was possible with Kaushal who was unbeaten on 63 going on to make an unbeaten 113.

Skipper Kandamby who was unbeaten on 22 went on to make 91 as Sri Lanka ‘A’ resuming from their overnight score of 166 for 3 ended the day without losing a wicket on 288 for 3.
The pair in the meantime carried their fourth wicket stand to 184 runs and with only the final days play remaining an inevitable draw is on the cards. Kaushal’s 207 ball knock had 16 boundaries while Thilina’s 191 ball knock comprised ten boundaries and a six.
The rain hit four day encounter produced only 25 overs on day one, 30 overs on day two and 32 overs on day three amounting to just 87 overs for the three days.
