Commencing operation in delivering Diploma in Psychology leading to Bachelor of Science in Psychology MC is proud to have disbursed key knowledge to over 300 students within 10years, which clearly testifies the rise in demand for Psychology in Sri Lanka.

The Psychology programme at MC is designed to impart essential knowledge, skills and attitudes that will enable students to be effective and productive in the workplace. The fundamental theme of the course is 'evaluate the evidence' and understanding of the mind within the context of one's interpersonal and informal roles. It incorporates a strong foundation on key areas of psycho social activities and provides an in-depth perspective focusing on mind. The units are taught using interactive learning techniques, drawing on the diverse backgrounds of the students and the expertise and experience of the lecturer.

The coveted BSc's entrance requirements are 3 passes at the GCE A/L or equivalent. The programme is flexible, and offers its students the career path of choosing the area they would like to specialize in during the final year. Considering the vitality of education and the role it plays in developing a person's career and enriching their lives, Metropolitan College offers Distance Learning Diploma level programmes in the fields of Psychology, Business Management, Leisure, Languages and IT.

The innumerous individuals who are studying for this programme are from various sectors and professions, including Banking, IT, Finance, Marketing, HR, Health and Social Services and many more. The One year Diploma consists of Final Exam and submission of two Assignments. The entry qualification is 6 Simple Passes at the GCE O/L or the equivalent while the students are provided with Books, reference materials and Sample Test Papers to assist them.
