Funday Times - A Poem for the week

Rainbow

By Himashi Pemasiri (14 years), Lyceum Int. School, Nugegoda

Rain clashes with sunlight,
To form a bridge of colours shining bright,
A beautiful arc stretching through the sky,
Across the sky, the colours do fly.

A rare sight with unimaginable beauty,
What a sight! What a scenery!
It takes away the sadness and tears,
And dispels grumpiness and fears.

Unfortunately if the rain stops,
Or the sun hides behind a cloud,
The rainbow will fade away,
But it will return another day.
