'Mysticism' a fashion show in aid of the Camilla School for differently abled children and other district service projects of the Ladies of Lions Clubs International District 306A1 will be held on December 5 at Cinnamon Lakeside hotel. Sarees from Sonar Mandhir, western wear by Ruchira of Rebel and men's wear by Gihan Ediriweera will be a highlight of the show which will also have music by Ronnie and Corrine, as well as dances by the Channa-Upuli dance troupe and El Latino.
The fashion show is choreographed by Geraldine Bandaranaike. Tickets priced at Rs. 2,500 are available at Sonar Mandhir, 13/7 Orchard Complex, Colombo 6, Rebel outlets, Majestic City and Crescat and Cinnamon Lakeside.
Grand finale for the young ones
Zainab Ammarah's fashion designer show, now in its third year will have its grand finale on December 13 at Water's Edge when one young hopeful will win the title of Sri Lanka's Up and Coming Fashion Designer 2010. "It’s true talent that makes it to the finals," says Zainab commenting that the 17 finalists have made it thus far through rigorous judging and performance based quarter finals and semi-final rounds. |
