Direct entry options
The University also offers direct entry opportunities and exemptions to undergraduate students for a range of programmes provided they already have any professional qualifications which are recognized by the university. These exemptions would be considered for either a direct entry to the second year or the final year of the degree depending on the levels of qualifications they hold. The qualifications offered by the University of Greenwich are internationally recognized, meaning that wherever you may work your knowledge and experience will be valued. You can obtain a degree relevant to your specific needs allowing you to go on to further study in your field or progress in your career. As an international student, you have the opportunity to work as well as study and are allowed to work up to 20 hours a week during term time, and unlimited hours during vacations
Students' Union
The University of Greenwich Students' Union represents the interest of all students and provides in-house social facilities and support. Each campus has a students' union where you can go for advice and information or make use of the social venues to get together with friends. For those who want to participate in fitness activities, both our Avery Hill and Medway Campuses offer sports and recreational facilities.
Facilities offered to international students. Job Shop - you can receive help in finding part-time work within or outside the university and get advice on employment related matters. Research Facilities - The University of Greenwich generates around 18 million pounds sterling in research and consultancy income every year and students benefit from being taught in a research environment where staff share the experience and specialist facilities. The university currently has over 350 research students undertaking both MPhil and PhD degree.
Accommodation Facilities
The University provides a wide range of accommodation facilities for the students to choose from and guarantees accommodation facilities for all new students who enrol for the September intake provided they meet the accepted conditions.

The University is highly recognized both nationally and internationally for the research projects and its innovative approach to curriculum development. It has pioneered degree programmes in Computing / Information Systems / Multi media technology/Networking / Internet & web technology/Data Mining/statistics/computational science and engineering;
International foundation programme
The University of Greenwich also offers a very popular programme called the 'International Foundation Programme' which is specifically designed to help students who have good O/L results but have not performed well at the A/L examination to secure an entry into the undergraduate programmes at the University. After successful completion of same, this Programme has two intakes in January and September each year.
Visits by International OfficeMs. Joanne Wall, International Recruitment Manager from the University visits Sri Lanka 4 times a year in the months of February , May, July and October and would be available to meet students and offer spot admissions on February 24 at the British Council office.
