The services of a local expert have been sought to clear giant honeybee combs at the Pallekele Cricket Stadium where three World Cup matches are to be played.
Deeman Ananda who had earlier offered his services in clearing wasps in Sigiriya said he had already removed four of honeybee combs from the Stadium, including two from the grand stand area.
He said Sri Lanka Cricket and the Army’s Kandy Region Commander had sought his services and he was removing two more hives.
President Mahinda Rajapaksa visited the stadium on Friday to ensure all was well for the World Cup matches. |
