International Institute of Health Sciences (IIHS) the premier healthcare education provider in Sri Lanka is now offering a pathway programme for the existing Nurses (3 year Diploma holders) to complete the BSc in Nursing in Sri Lanka or in UK, in affiliation with the University of Hertfordshire.
The Diploma holding Nurses have three possible pathways depending on their need and they are, to complete the 2 years in Sri Lanka at IIHS (part time), to do 1 year at IIHS and final year at University of Hertfordshire (1+1 part time) and to complete both years at University of Hertfordshire after completing a 3 month Foundation Programme at IIHS. Highly paid work placements are guaranteed for the time they have to study in UK.
The agreement for the above pathway programmes was signed recently at IIHS. The University of Hertfordshire representatives, Dr. Malcolm Peter McIver PhD, MA, BA (Hons) of Faculty of Health and Human Sciences, Dr. John Beamish PhD, BSc (Hons), Grad Cert Educ, Regional Director of South East Asia and Mr. Pradeep Perera, the Sri Lankan Official Representative for University of Hertfordshire were present at the occasion.
