A team of young musicians of different age groups and backgrounds, brought together by a common passion for music and performance will present Wish- List.
The group known as Music.Inc, directed by Shannon Jacob, a professional piano accompanist and music director who has performed and directed a wide variety of shows over the years, is putting her hand to the group’s first project.
A percentage of the proceeds from the show will be donated to the Maharagama Cancer Hospital Children’s Ward. Having visited the children at the cancer hospital and while spending time with them and sharing their music, the group requested a wish from each one of the children which they look forward to granting through this performance.
Keeping in line with this, the first show will be called the “The Wish List” - A name seemingly unconventional for a musical show yet intent on being our key to creating awareness.
So put on your “Boogies Shoes” and the group as they journey the streets of “New York”, singing “I Gotta Feeling” while “Love Takes Over” and you are left “Feeling Good”
It’s been 4 long months of “Viva La Vida”, hard work and great music. The show will go on board the Lionel Wendt at April 26, 2011 at 7.30 pm. Tickets are priced at Rs.750 , Rs.500 & Rs.350 and are available at the Lionel Wendt. |
