Photo Focus - Story and pics by Kanchana Kumara Ariyadasa

The dilapidated condition of the Thalaula hanging bridge in Kadawatha, Naula has resulted in the villagers in the area being greatly inconvenienced.

More then 200 school children use the bridge to get to school while villagers too need the bridge to get across but due to the precarious condition it is in, many are forced to wade across the water.

E.M.Karunaratna, a villager said the authorities have been requested to construct a new bridge across the river but so far only the concrete supporting piles have been laid across the river with no action taken thereafter.
