SL Tourism gets boost thro’ new campaign
The tourism industry this week cheered a move by Sri Lanka Tourism (SLT) to finally prepare the groundwork to spend on advertising and promotion of the country in the post-war era, an issue that both sides have been at odds.
 
Hayleys revives deputy chairman’s post

Hayleys has revived its deputy chairman’s position, which was not filled since July 2009, with this week’s appointment of Dhammika Perera, its single largest shareholder to this post. Mr Perera, currently Secretary to the Transport Ministry, holds a near 30% stake in the company through individual and related-company holdings.
