Kandy High School Old Girls' Association (Colombo Branch) will take to the streets on October 29 at Park Street Mews all for a good cause - to raise funds for the Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children.
With a colourful programme to paint the street red, the KHS OGA Colombo Branch, backed by the school's tradition of social responsibility, has gone all out with "Street Pulse" to raise funds to meet the target.
There will be street food aplenty to munch as well as beverages. Mariazelle Gunatilleke, Billy Fernando, Pabalu Wijegunawardene and Kevin Nugara will belt out their favourite numbers with the de Lanerolle Brothers as the Guest Act. Music is provided by FRENDZ and DJ Outburst.
The highlight will be the fashion show by Sharmini of Silk Wrap with Rozelle, Biyanka, Nadeeka, Michelle and Chula on the catwalk. Danu Innasithamby is expected to set the street ablaze with his compering.
The evening's programme which will commence at 6.30 p.m. has the Sunday Times and the Daily Mirror as its print media sponsor with Yes FM as the Official Radio Partner. Access Solar (Pvt.) Ltd is the Gold Sponsor while the Silver Sponsor is Sri Lanka Telecom. Co-sponsor of the Street Party is Ceylon Cold Stores Ltd. (Elephant House.)
