Nivasie celebrates - national tree planting day

To coincide with the National Tree Planting day which fell on 15th November 2011 Nivasie together with the members of the resident committee and the residents of Victoria Range Digana - Kandy Commorated this day by actively participating in a tree planting drive within the compound.

Nivasie have always been a property development company that has in every manner made its fair share contributions towards taking forward the Green Conceptwithin their projects. According to Mr. Herman S. Gonsal the Managing Director/CEO of NivasieDevelopers [Put] Ltd, Nivasieis an institution that runs on these principals and in the past conducted many activities to coincide with the National Tree Planting program.

The message that we would like to send out to the community is that although we are in the business of building houses we are an organization that is very much concerned with regards to preserving the environment to the greater benefit of the community."Environment though sometimes in the past was considered as being an obstacle is now considered as the foundation of development" he said.

In each project a substantial amount of land is preserved for the natural surrounding and the environment. If you take all our projects into consideration we can proudly say that we have planted more than ten thousand trees in many ingenious varieties. The systems are also in place to monitor the tree planting program as well, he said. The company has also developed mechanisms which have effectively reduced the carbon foot print .

In conclusion Mr.Gonsal said, with regard to the Kandy project the residents have already become fully involved with us to carrying out our Green Concept. By spearheading the message of sustainability and their commitment towards adopting ecofriendly initiatives the residents are further encouraged to preserve the nature for the future generations as well.Therefore at Nivasie we do not only sell houses to our customer but offer an environmentally compatible concept, which go hand in hand with nature , he said.
