Then come for the Walk for Wetlands where you will discover a centre of bio-diversity not far from the city.
Time - 9 am.
Date - February 12th 2012.
Starting point - Overseas School of Colombo, Pelawatta, Battaramulla to Thalangama Wetlands.
Purpose - to educate the public on importance of wetlands, and unite in protection of nature reserves.
The walk is organised by the Green Army of the Spectrum Institute of Science and Technology
and is a part of the British Council International Climate Champions program
The walk is supported by the Overseas School of Colombo, Central Environment Authority, Sri-Lanka National Commision for UNESCO, Ritzbury chocolates.
Event is free of cost. This is an invitation to nature lovers, professional and amateur ennvironmental enthusiasts and activists. |
