The pilot of the ill-fated MiG 27, Flt. Lt. Tharindu Herath had informed control room, minutes before the crash last Monday, of losing control of the plane, when he was instructed to eject.
The plane crashed on a coconut estate in Dummalasuriya, while the pilot parachuted safely.
An Air Force spokesman said that the MiG’s Black Box recordings currently under scrutiny, once completed, would help determine the probable cause of the crash. |
