‘Aadariye’, a miniplay started on Valentine’s Day and telecast on every weekday is a love story directed by the acclaimed cinematographer, Thrishula Deepa Thambavita.
The teledrama starring a group of young actors and actresses including Nadeesha Hemamali, Dananjaya Siriwardena, Anarkalli Aakarssha and Buddhika Jayaratne is now being telecast from Monday to Friday at 7.30 pm on Swarnavahini.
It revolves around the youngsters and the issues, like complications of love, marriage, ambitions and career they face.
The story surrounds the main characters, Apsari (Nadeesha Hemamali) who is also a successful employee and Nirmala (Dananjaya Siriwardana), a feature writer.
Apsari is a strong and independent character living alone in a luxury apartment enjoying a successful career although her past includes a failed marriage. Nirmala, a feature writer has a poverty-ridden past after losing his parents due to the tsunami.
The two met when they had a highway accident. Apsari helps Nirmala who gets badly injured.
The incident leads to a relationship between the two. Wealthy Apsari provides him accommodation and financial assistance for his neglected higher studies.
Nirmala’s girlfriend is ‘Ahinsa’ who works at the same office. Their relationship encounters problems when Ahinsa comes to know about Apsari.
However as time passed by Nirmala and Apsari face realities of their pasts. This leads to shatter their relationship specially when their own partners return to their lives.
Others in the cast include Srimal Wedisinghe, Rebecca Nirmali, Gunawardena Hettiarachchi, Kusum and Biyanka Fonseka. ‘Aadariye’ director Thrishula Deepa Thambavita is internationally acclaimed as a cinematographer and he won rave reviews at the 43rd Houston Independent International Film Festival held in USA for his skills portrayed in the renowned movie production ‘Bambara Walalla’. His earlier tele-productions include ‘Sanda Numba Num’ and ‘Vandana’. |
