With the shorter version of cricket being a plenty in Sri Lanka in the coming months with SLPL and the ICC T-20 World Championship around the corner, Sri Lanka Cricket is about to launch a double wicket tournament.
This tournament is billed to be held after the Pakistan’s tour of Sri Lanka.
A spokesman for SLC said “The Cricket Committee of Sri Lankan mooted this idea of a double wicket tournament with the idea of unearthing some lusty hitters who have not come into focus as yet.
“All Sri Lanka Cricket selectors will watch this tournament to identify such big hitters as the Sri Lanka Premier League T-20 tournament and the T-20 World Championship being held in Sri Lanka in August and September”. |
