Lanka Credit and Business Finance PLC opened its 22nd Branch on 19th August 2025, at No 7 Wehera Junction, Colombo Road, Kurunegala, the Provincial Capital of the North Western Province.
This branch of LCB Finance was planned to be established in Kurunegala, to provide financial services to the friendly and hospitable residents at Kurunegala and in its vicinity , where a sensation of abundance is prevalent in every corner, backed by an economy that relies on agriculture, particularly in the cultivation of tea, rice, coconuts, rubber, and spices and the thriving tourism industry.
The branch was declared opened by the Chairman of the Nikavaratiya Sanasa Society Mr. Lional Thilakarathna, amidst a distinguish gathering consisting of officials in the Co-operative sector, State officials, the Chairman of PIB Insurance Mr. Anil Wijegunarathne, Reputed members of the business community, the general public and the staff of LCB Finance PLC.
Mr K.G. Leelananda CEO/ Executive Director extending a warm welcome to the invitees present, explained the policy of the company to provide a courteous service to prospective Depositors and Borrowers in the Co-operative sector, Businessmen, Entrepreneurs, Industrialists, SMEs with emphasis to financing of self-employment projects of educated youth, financing the expansion of existing such projects, women empowerment, and those involved in agricultural activities.
He stated that the management plans to enhance through the Kurunegala Branch, the marketing of its customer friendly Gold Loan products developed to meet domestic cash needs, and Micro Leasing products, developed to fund purchase of motor cycles and three wheelers.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors Mr. Dushmantha Thotawatte addressed the gathering highlighting the standing of LCB Finance PLC in the Finance Sector, invited the public to establish mutually beneficial business relationships with the Kurunegala Branch of the company and enjoy the benefits attached to the Deposits and lending products offered.
