In a move to bridge the skills gap in manicure sector and improve the employability in nail care and makeup professions in Sri Lanka, Genevieve International Academy (GIA) the training center of NailSpa (Pvt) Ltd signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Vocational Training Authority.
The signing of MOU took place, recently, at the National Vocational Training Authority , Narahenpita with the participation of Mr. S.K. Rajapaksha Chairman (acting) /CEO of NVTA and other senior officers including Deputy Chairman Mr. Chatura De Silva while on the part of GIA Mrs. Nilanthi Genevieve Weerasinghe ,Managing Director, Nimesha S. Jayasooriya-Director Training & Marketing , and Thushanthi N. Sumanaweera- Deputy General Manager were gracing the occasion.
The MOU opens the door for VTA to conduct courses in nail care and semi-permeant makeup courses in collaboration with GIA. Nail care and beauty care is a promising sector for those who are seeking jobs overseas as well as in urban areas.
Located in No. 145/2B, Park Road, Colombo 5,Genevieve International Academy conducts nail technology and semi-permanent makeup courses for small groups. GIA provides Cuccio USA certification for their students and Genevieve International Academy certificates are also provided for semi – Permanent makeup courses.
