Nestlé is one of the first F&B companies in Sri Lanka to receive the new “COVID-19 Safety Management System” certification by the Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI). The certification verifies that Nestlé Lanka’s sites are protected from risk of exposure to COVID-19, and that all recommended safety measures are in place across its activities, products and services.
“As a responsible company that cares deeply for our people, we are working tirelessly to keep our employees, business partners and communities safe during the pandemic. We’re pleased to have our best-in-class safety efforts recognised with this certification. The safety of our people and products are non-negotiable priorities, and we will continue to uphold the strictest hygiene and safety standards in our sites and across the value chain,” said Fabrice Cavallin, Nestlé Lanka’s Managing Director in a media release issued by the company.
The company was certified after a comprehensive audit to confirm it had successfully implemented a COVID-19 Safety Management System, in line with the relevant SLSI standard. It will be regularly audited to ensure continued compliance.
