Sri Lanka’s Treasury bill interest rates eased on Wednesday with 3-month bills fetching an interest rate of 28.86 per cent compared to 31.50 per cent last week, Central Bank data showed.
The bids drew offers for Rs.119.7 billion of which Rs.60 billion was accepted. In the case of 6-month bills, the interest rates were 29.24 per cent compared to 29.97 per cent last week with Rs.10.5 billion accepted from offers of Rs.30.5 billion. In the case of 1-year bills, the interest rates eased marginally to 29.53 per cent from 29.82 per cent last week for a quantity of Rs.14.3 billion from Rs. 33.2 billion offered.
