CIMA Sri Lanka launched the inaugural Business Games initiative recently.
The CIMA Business Game is a unique interactive session for students and professionals to test what it is to be a management accountant within a variety of business roles and scenarios. Moreover, the content has been developed from the real CIMA qualification exams which make this experience valuable by helping students/ professionals with their professional development, the institution said in a media release.
The CIMA Business Games has been an attractive proposition used predominantly in the UK and European countries and this is the first time it is being launched in Sri Lanka. The Business Game helps one become proficient in analysing and solving real world problems a corporate would face. The business game makes the participants think as a real business professional. It pushes them to re-imagine the business world and how one can lead their business towards greater success. In the game, you play the role of a management accountant or business partner that is tasked to help a fictitious company, recommend strategies that can help them stay competitive in the markets they operate in. Participants will develop analytical acumen, problem solving skills and commercial awareness they’ll need to enhance their employability and position themselves as a strategic business partner to their company or any company they hope to join, the release said.
Upon passing the game, the participants will receive a CIMA Business Game certificate and gain an enhanced understanding of business, finance and the role of management accountants in society. The CIMA Business Games are a great way to test if your skills are up-to-date and keep abreast of the constantly evolving business environment. CIMA offers such business case studies as assessment centre activities for organizations globally.
The Business Game is available free of charge for any students and for all employees of CIMA Corporate Partner and Top Employer organizations. For others, there is a minimal fee of Rs. 1000 for the certification.
