Colombo bourse shows early gains

Colombo equities on Monday started on a bullish momentum, but analysts said it will be highly volatile as the day wears on, owing mainly to the uncertain political setting. The All Share Price Index gained marginal by 0.09 per cent to show 7,265.44 with the S & P SL Index gaining 0.01 per cent by 10.25 am to record 4,051.02. The turnover for the day amounted to Rs. 167.4 million with the volume traded for the day amounting to 6.8 million by this time.
