A Norwegian ship Vikingmas carrying 700 tourists and 450 crew members arrived at Colombo Port on Friday 18, November 2022. This was the first cruise ship which arrived to Sri Lanka after Covid- 19.

The Government is finalising a list of names to be posted as heads of Sri Lanka’s missions abroad with ex-Chief Justice Jayantha Jayasuriya assuming the position of Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York.
