The SAARC Puppetry Fest 2025 happening this week on July15 brings together renowned puppeteers from Sri Lanka, India, and Bangladesh, with the objective of promoting social awareness through puppetry and strengthening bonds within South Asia through shared art and culture.

The inauguration takes place at the Fairway Hotel, Colombo, at 9.30 a.m., with a public show to follow at Dutch Hospital Road from 6.30 p.m.

‘Learning from Leopards’ is this month’s Nations Trust WNPS (Wildlife and Nature Protection Society) monthly lecture on Thursday, July 17 at 6 p.m. at the Jasmine Hall, BMICH. It will be presented by wildlife filmmakers, Noah Falklind and Hannah Gormley. The lecture is open to all.

"Resonance" an all-female vocal group made up of past pupils of Holy Family Convent in Bambalapitiya, will present their first thanksgiving concert on July 19 at the Holy Family College convent chapel at 6 p.m.

The “WMA Sing Along with MISTY” organised by the Western Musicians Association as a fundraiser for the WMA community will be held on Sunday, July 20 at 7 p.m. at the Grand Ballroom of the Galadari Hotel.

MISTY, will be the main draw with guest performances by Judy De Silva, Lulu (Sharon de Bruin), Radika Rajavelu, Janappriya Weeraratne, Neomal Peiris , Manjula Martis, SID, Clifford Richards and Evans De Fonseka.
