Side by Side, an exhibition by Kolam-Jaffna is now on at the Barefoot Gallery and will continue until October 25.
The exhibition presents the work of four, university-trained, contemporary artists who engage with Kolam through both individual and collective practices. Drawing from both traditional and contemporary cultural vocabularies, the artists layer personal memories and narratives across multiple mediums in playful, experimental ways.
Curated by T. Shanaathanan, visual artist, Professor of Art History - Department of Fine Arts, University of Jaffna, and founder of Kolam- Jaffna, the exhibition features works by Suntharam Anojan, Balachandiran Kajeepan, Mano Prashath and Vinson Chanthiradas Vimal.
