‘The World of Textiles’ presented by the Threads of History Museum is now on at the Curado Art Space on Park Road, Colombo 5. Curated by Deshika Von Haght, the exhibition presents wearable art from indigenous cultures from around the world, collected by Deshika on her travels.
The exhibition ends on November 14.

Art for Conservation: A Journey Through the Wild, a presentation and discussion by renowned wildlife artist Gamini Ratnavira on his mission to inspire environmental action will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, November 12 at Genesis – Dilmah Centre for a Sustainable Future, 52 Maligawatta Rd, Colombo 10.

Six well-known wildlife artists Lester Perera, Prasanna Weerakkody, Vasantha Perera, Jayantha Jinasena, Vishi Dharmasiriwardane and Sasitha Weerasinghe, come together for Untamed, an exhibition of their work.Whether specialising in birds, marine life or reptiles, each of them is a researcher, conservationist or
naturalist.
The exhibition will be on at the Lionel Wendt Art Gallery from November 14-16.

The Colombo–Kandy main road at Pahala Kadugannawa has been closed indefinitely after a deadly rockfall in the area that left six people dead and four others injured.
The Cyclonic Storm “Ditwah” moved further north from Trincomalee today evening leaving a trail of destruction including more than 90 deaths, over 100 missing and tens of thousands displaced, officials said.
