A 17-hour water cut will be imposed across the Kotte Municipal council area from 12 noon today owing to urgent repairs in the water supply line from Ambatale.
The water cut will affect the area surrounding the Sri Jayawardenapura Kotte Municipal Council, Colombo 05, 07 and 08, the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) noted.
The NWSDB also said that water will be supplied at low pressure to Maharagama, Boralegamuwa Urban Council areas and Colombo 6.
Customs have detected 228 mobile phones and tabs valued at over Rs 30 million left behind in the duty free shopping complex at the Banaranaike International Airport today, Customs officials said.
