Meanwhile, details have been provided to the students informing the selection status, the university and the course of study via an SMS from the UGC, the Secretary of the UGC Ms. Shalika Ariyarathne said.

If SMS is not received, students are requested to send in a text message in the format of UGC <space> index number to 1919 to get hold of their eligibility. (Eg: UGC<>777888 to 1919)

Appeals can be submitted accordingly if a student looks forward to getting selected to their preferred university upon application. Candidates can further make appeals to change their course of study to lower preferences or apply to courses which they have not indicated in the original application where due consideration will be given in line with available vacancies.
